Maxwell 

You'll find Maxwell on quieter days, hopping along seeking the next picturesque scene to paint. Most mornings Maxwell will be searching for treasure to create sculptures, pebbles, leaves and a stick.Yes the stick that may have been used momenterily for poking Duke (duckweed) upstream. Maxwell also uses litter, that people have dropped (accidentally I hope) to add to the sculptures. Bourton-on-the-Water is a very tidy village so there's never that many items he can use. He always places items into the bin, when he's finished with it ... as Maxwell likes to keep his river tidy.

              Aunt Nell 

One of the oldest frogs in the village, Aunt Nell has also lived on the river the longest. A favourite auntie, Aunt Nell always has time to listen and give advice if asked. 

The famous knitted square blankets, that was Nell. Now she is famous for her knitted scarfs. The same multi coloured squares but sometimes they are... rectangle! Which makes everyone laugh. Aunt Nell is laughing with them so that's ok.

Shelly

The adventurous type, energetic extremely intelligent, friendly young frog. Nothing like the poisonous frogs usually associated with red frogs. Cartwheeling down the banks of the river, singing at the top of her voice. Noticed first by Myrtle, who came to her rescue one day. Cartwheeling causes a few calamities for Shelly.

A comical character, Duckweed makes everyone laugh. He loves skimming across the Duckweed.  He's extremely fast, not anything like his best mate Bobby.
